Democrats in the House of Representatives have added new last-minute evidence to the package of impeachment documents going to the Senate today.
The so called “evidence” would include a letter from Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s personal attorney. In the letter he asks Ukrainian president Zelensky for a meeting, “with Trump’s knowledge and permission.” It also contains handwritten notes of his partner Lev Parnas. That meeting is irrelevant though, because the impeachment case revolves around the question if Trump has put pressure on the Ukrainian president to start an investigation into his rival Joe Biden.
During Pelosi’s press conference on Wednesday, President Trump tweeted: “Here we go again.”
The entire impeachment file, including the new documents, will be sent to the U.S. Senate on Wednesday.
