After the CNN Democratic Presidential Debate, Elizabeth Warren went up to Bernie Sanders to ask why he’s called her a liar. Warren claimed that Sanders told her that he did not believe a woman could be elected president in 2020.
“Well, as a matter of fact, I didn’t say it. And I don’t want to waste a whole lot of time on this, because this is what Donald Trump and maybe some of the media want. Anybody who knows me knows that it’s incomprehensible that I would think that a woman cannot be President of the United States.”
When asked what Warren’s response was to Bernie’s remarks, “I disagreed,” she said. “Bernie is my friend, and I am not here to try to fight with Bernie. But, look, this question about whether or not a woman can be president has been raised, and it’s time for us to attack it head-on.”
During the debate, it seemed like everything calmed down, however, the feud between Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren only got worse after the debates. Viewers at home could easily see that Warren refused to shake Bernie’s hand, but could not hear what the two were saying.
The uncomfortable and unusual moment between the two Democrats, who usually get along very well, was broadcasted live by CNN on Tuesday. But at that moment the sound was no longer on. CNN has now also released the fragment with sound.
She immediately asked “I think you called me a liar on National TV.” Sanders responded with: “Let’s do this another time.”
Anyways, this seems a like a very divided Democrat party, which will only make President Trump’s 2020 re election more likely!
